Bite your tongue mister. It is never over, well, until it is.
And even though it was a rather cool summer, the weather people kept telling me that with the heat index, it actually felt like it was 115 degrees. Whatever that means. Nobody could tell me what the wind chill was, but I guess that was the product of global cooling, so, reasons.
Only 11 hours of boating? I think I might have gotten half of that, maybe less. Only burned about 50 gallons of fuel, so it was not much. Seems nobody wants to go out anymore and I rarely go alone. Kids will be teens soon and will not want to have anything to do with me, so it will only get better. Gotta love life.

Boating season is great in up until Dec. then we need to break for a couple months "short days make it tough with daylight savings". You guys should come South for a couple of the runs coming up. We have Platka, Jasper, and then the Suwanee all before the end of the year. Boating only ends for those not willing to trailer.

Yeah, life though. My gig is rentals. When it snows, I gotta move it. Or hire somebody, and am not willing to do that yet. While I have been able to take a few trips to the near south, there is nobody else out as it is too cold for the locals. Win-win for me. Only problem with that is trailering a boat through salt covered roads which is way worse then running it in salt water. So we have snowmobiles. Kind of like wave runners but with hand warmers.

I keep my sleds at Lake Gogebic, you need to keep a boat down here. Life is too short-you have to make it happen while you have your health and take advantage of every minute "no time to kill".
Allegiant Air has direct flights from here to Appleton for less then $100.00. I can be riding 5 hours after I leave my house.

Not quite in that kind of position yet, but am maneuvering towards it. For sleds, I rent, where I go. Does not change my commitment and current position. Any superboat rentals for off season activities?

Thank God! Looking forward to some cool weather boating.
No sweating, no humidity, no crowded boat ramps, no crowded waterways, no jetskis.
I just don't enjoy roasting on the water like I used to.
