Vertical Front Cut
Anybody know off hand how much you can cut a vertical front half? I was talking to Chris Carson and he said that the horizontal front has more than double the volume of the vertical and I believe it! I've never had a problem getting RPS's out of vertical 2.0's so I'm just wondering how much it's safe to shave the front...

Vertical uses a **** ton less fuel. Better torque low rpm.

I have the rod (yes it's longer on a horizontal front), also found an intake in my stash. I have the whole setup. I've got a set of 4 petal cages and TDR reeds ready to go. Just not the direction I'm headed with this one. I may build that one someday but not today...
The horizontal airbox and latch really f*** up a clamshell cowl. This old Varmint has always run great with a stock 1750 on it and that's the way I'm going to keep it!

I buy a 3/4 inch ball ...greay stone.......start off in the exhust ports.... as stone gets smaller I go to the 3 rd port..... as it gets small enf..... the 2 cross ports...As it gets small ya can finish off the work....at the end it is to a stub.....I use a Cheep BD drill with a 12 inch extenson with a tub to hold at the cutter end. I Have a BP mill so I can do all the rest easy..... but ya still best off with a rat tail on the top of exhust ports....not on the cly wall but where it bends on top...... JMO...I don't D port....the piston hole..... I blend it smooth.....A ball and Rat tail is all ya realy need ... The mill is next step...up.....
