The pic of that tan seat looks like a person pulling their head off.

I think I figured out where the designer of those seats got their inspiration from.

Think what ever you care too, Chevy will sell every Vette they can produce. In a year or 2 they will keep interest by adding power and aero packages. If they bumped the price to 200K maybe the ellite crowd would take them seriously. LOL

The price point is genius. $60k is not a lot of money to build a real HotRod and to think you could build your own that would outperform that car would take some extremely high level talent, a really solid base chassis/body, and carefully selected parts combined with pro level fit and finish and then? No warranty

IMO this is the genius of GM is offering outstanding performance packages at prices that lead by strong margins so they make the bank on volume not mark up. I can see this car selling very well

IT'S a STEAL, for the amount of tech...

give me a van/truck, I hate sitting low I like to SEE above the cars in front.

I was expecting a price increase with all the changes.

495 naturally aspirated ponies too. I can see easy thousand hp aftermarket boost kits popping up all over the place. You'd only need 14-16psi to hit a thousand ponies and thats still very street friendly levels of boost that will run all day long on E85 or maybe 93gas. Certainly get north of 800 on pump gas and boost. I wonder how much hp the stock fuel system will support? If those fellas who spec'd this thing are true blue bowtie wearin types the stock fuel system will support what I mentioned here. If not the fuel pump, at lease the injectors

BTW, on the tube right now is Sports car racing Virginia raceway, and the two yellow vettes just can't catch the Porsche...maybe next year be different!

Yeah, the as end on this one is WAY too busy. I have a C5 and I like the way that and the 6 looked. Plain, simple, and wide. I am not a fan of the C8 though. Mid engine makes it a different car, should have a different name. Trouble is they would have to discontinue the vette and that won't happen as it is an American icon. Kind of like when Dodge made a 4 door Charge. Just not right, but the name sold a bunch of those cars.

I did not like the C7, do not like the C8. I am sure they would be a blast to drive, but I just do not like it. I am a traditionalist and do not like my gauges to be on a tv screen. I also wonder how much work can done on the C8 without having to remove the body? And what will that cost?

I like the old C3s and almost bought one. Drove several. But they are so heavy. What 3.800#? Visibility was so much better in the C2s. AND they were lighter by about 200#. I had a '66 once upon a time. 300hp 327 and a POWERGLIDE (slip and slide with powerglide). LMAO!!! I got it to 138 and it was still climbing. Never topped it out. I'd say 145-150. I LOVED that car and want another...

Hard to beat the Porsche though... it is more expensive than the Vette for sure. I have no doubts about Porsche's reliability. They don't have near the teething problems that GM does. I guess we will see how they hold up.

I wonder how much the dealers will jack up the price? The only way is to order one. $71-75K for a new Vette or 100K for a really nice used 911 Turbo S...?

911 Turbo S. Even a 5 year old car is going to be hard to beat.

Forkin, my local chevy dealer said they would add a 19k+ dealer fee to every vette they ordered. Once on the lot and the market is saturated they may sell closer to the msrp...
