New ultra performance center console coming soon.

I just saw a computer drawing of a new 44 center console that will be a game changer for guys wanting the fastest and best handling one available. It sounds like it's a year out from being in production but its coming and will be a quad 450 platform.

I'm not surprised but I'm sure the Yellowfin, Invincible, Nor-Tech, Fountain, Sea Vee, Contender, Intrepid guys ain't worried. Every one of them has a build back log.

Amazes me the amount of money gets spent on these boats when there's so little left you can catch and keep. The days of getting 20 or 30 gaffer dolphin are pretty much over. The outlook for bottom fishing is even more bleak. But they sure look good at the sandbar in S FL

We catch plenty of fish out of NC. Not hard to have 3 or 4 wahoo, some dolphin and mixed bag of triggers, silver snapper, beeliners and a few grouper. More fish than a few people can split up and eat before it's old anyway. Have to run 50 plus miles to get them so that's where that bigger center consoles come into play. No argument that its WAY cheaper to go to the fish market though! Full disclosure, I dont own a saltwater fish boat but have family that does. Very rare that we dont catch more fish than we want to clean.

Exactly the kind of boat we need.

Because every time one of those is repowered, two pairs of 450s will hit the used market...

These CC boats are not necessarily being built for fishing.
They are being built for the guys that want something to cruise around from place to place a bit faster, easy on/off, dock, due to size and configuration can handle seas well, can be rack stored and much simpler to upkeep. Instead of having a cabin cruiser/yacht to dock, move around or service.

    Exactly right.

We did a weekend getaway to Lake Erie and they are everywhere.
And, they’re not being fished out of.
    Price out a 42’ Scout w/triple 350R’s. $750k ?
One passed our hotel on the Huron River.

Had lunch at another on water place and saw a ‘19 28’ Regulator w/twin 300 Yammis.
    Not a pole in site.
A friend sold it for $285k and they are a yr out for new boats.

I saw this market coming for Lake Erie, 20 yrs ago.
For the guy/family w/a place on the water, he doesn’t need a boat w/a cabin.
We are spoiled and have many islands that are only a few miles offshore but that lake will kick your ass on a heartbeat so a seaworthy boat is mandatory.

Load the kids, grand kids, dog and coolers and head to the beach.
The interiors of the upper end boats look like they’re stitched by the people at Rolls Royce!
Reversible back rests/headrests, stereo remotes and drink holders everywhere.
Retractable sun shades...., joy stick controls, etc.

The guys buying them around us are the guys that would normally buy a 50 foot Sea Ray to dock behind their house on the canal.

The other side of the coin for the performance builders of the past have adapted to this market and that portion of the buying public is way more solvent then the people buying a 40 foot go fast boat that’s repoed two years later.

I remember 10 or so yrs ago seeing a 36’ Deep Impact w/quad 250 Verados at Kellies Island and it stopped traffic.
Now it would barely get noticed.

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Gary, I agree with above 100%. Most buyers of these large CC today probably do not even know how to truly fish, me included....
    Funny you mentioned Scout.
Frank Mole had to pickup up a new Scout for a client and he called me to mentioned he just saw this CC being completed and rigged that was HUGE (50’) barely fit in the place and looked amazing.
In my opinion, Scout's are extremely well built with nice eye appeal with all top notch equipment and hardware which fits the yacht big $ clients!

A new 35' Draken will be at the LOTO speed runs today. It is expected to run in
excess of 110. Ziemer, Jr might be driving it. Has triple 450's. It is really badass.

We hope to get our new boat fully dialed in over the next few weeks once it gets back to Florida. Stay tuned for updates as we believe we may have something special.
