    Bigger Carb's

Can there be any HP gains going to bigger carb's. Have WH22's now on a 2.4L 200 1983 5 pedal horizontal. Reed cages are also ported.

what is the best carb for a 2.4 200? I have been told the WH20's are the best, BP carbs I think.

You’re not going to notice much difference on a regular 200, but the 20’s, 15’s, 22’s, and 46’s seem to run best

I agree on 46s to. I swapped from 22s to 46s not long ago , and as the idle wasnt as "clean "as 22s but there was a slight improvement everywhere else

If you haven't done any block work I doubt changing the carbs will make any difference. Spend that money and cut your heads or find a set of small chamber 2.0 heads. 150lbs of compression will wake that motor up. Can still use the 22s

The 22s r great carbs , not knocking. Have run coupe sets , I like em , but like tunnel said , spend money on other mods , and maybe trade ur 22s later

The 2.4 200 I have on the Viper came with 46's I think. I have another 2.4 200 and I think that is also 46's.

The only real difference in any of the carbs you mention is how they deliver the fuel. Like Eli said the air flow rate will be the same. Bump up to 150 lbs compression and run 91 octane minimum , confirm your jetting is spot on , and ask Forbes what to set the timing at. Without serious compression or port timing changes a carb swap most likely won't be noticeable. Imo

Wmh 47 off 3.0 liter has a 1.465 venturi but the fuel inlets I. d . as far as flow is not good 5/16 inch,I had 2 sets and they worked well on my 245's I was worried about wide open for miles and not getting enough fuel I would think you have to change inlets to 3/8 to be safe I am running wmh carbs off my 245's on my new built 260 port FF blocks and I installed 34-310 throttle blades and they idle like efi in the channels and accelerate real nice and not to bad of smiles per miles

Sounds like you have time and $ invested in your 2foo.
What hull are you trying to push.
    Weight vs hp.
If you feel your max out in your current setup and you think your porting can handle it, throw some big bores on it and let it eat.
More air and fuel is usually good for big end.
