    135 V6 1997 Era questions

Anyone know much about these low HP V6's? Can they be easily upgraded to 150 hp or even 175hp? (my boat is rated for 150)

Thinking of picking up this blown 135 to rebuild this winter for my fishing boat.

I just need a reliable strong motor for my 19 foot Alumacraft fishing boat. My 115 works well until the boat is loaded up with lots of people and then its worked pretty hard.

Let me know what you think of these photos. If you think I should just stay away don't be afraid to say so.

I am new to the V6 world. Im not looking to do port work or anything crazy, but if there are easy bolt ons that will bring it up on HP while I have it tore apart that would be good to know.

Current owner says oiling system stopped working and it burnt up.

    thanks

Those 2.0s are TUFF..... the bores are real thick and you most of time just hone and put pistons in.....Get metal cage rod bearings. From a L6 to V6 you will LIKE.....

I think by then they all had the same tuners but look and see up the can..the long tuners come almost all the way down and swapping to the short tuner makes a bit of difference

    150hp 1992-00 2.0L

Learning guys, thanks. Found this reference when looking at pistons? Whats up with the boost port? do the 135's have some sort of trench port?
