Jim Acheson .....
Sorry to hear of Jim's passing, he was a good man, very enjoyable to be around. Met him in 1970, he was the head tech for Ted Morgan's C6 development project. He traveled with the race team for most of 71 and some of 72. This is not a good picture of Jim, but it shows what he was always doing ..... looking down the throat of those nasty carbs!
RIP Jim .....

Jim Acheson .....
I was reaching out to Dick Lanpheer, Mercury performance engineering, for some TIIX info and told him of Jim's passing. Thought I'd pass along Dick's comments:
"Hey Bill, it was good to hear from you! I’m sad to hear about Ach. He was a super nice guy and we got along well together. I’ll never forget when we were in Berlin in Oct. 1970, Jim & I decided to buy tickets to take a bus tour into East Germany. The adventure we had that Saturday was an experience I shall never forget." ...........................................
Cheers, and try to stay out of trouble for once.
Dick
