LA residents fed up with officials, demand change after homeless crisis spirals in city
"Our homeless crisis has increasingly become a public health crisis," Newsom said. "Last year, there was a hepatitis-A outbreak in San Diego. Recently, there was an outbreak of syphilis in Sonoma. And now, typhus in Los Angeles. Typhus. That's a medieval disease. In California. In 2019."

Drug abuse causes a ton of unnecessary BS. Tolerance of use is one thing, enabling public abuse is complete insanity

Liberals...blame it on someone else or in this case just make stuff up...
If it's because people are taking bus tickets to Texas.??
Doesn't mean they are from texas!!! More likely the smart side of the family moved already!!! And got the hell out of the ****hole state...Texas..It's the first or second highest transplant area for people leaving California.... haha
But its Texas's fault California has a homeless problem
Who's next inline to blame for the progressive liberal failed polices...but give them all the needles and drugs they need and let them crap in the street..
With all the businesses and middle class and wealthier people moving who are they going to over tax

California should ship them to Mexico and see how that works out.

San Francisco board rebrands 'convicted felon' as 'justice-involved person,' sanitizes other crime lingo
Crime-ridden San Francisco has introduced new sanitized language for criminals, getting rid of words such as “offender” and “addict” while changing “convicted felon” to “justice-involved person.”

Yea got carried away...just can't believe it..
Was really expecting to get to the end and be an article from The Onion
Ok where are the local liberal Dems on this? What say you? Because I know damn well they aren't all nuts..
I know plenty personally that think this crap is a joke..
And they arent voting Dem anymore either..
Holy... WTF...you cant make this stuff up..
They can't fix it..just rename it..haha progressive liberal Democrats are a joke..
Seriously, Justice involved sounds more like someone working for...not a convicted felon ...
And another can't fix the problem make it disappear so no more using the word addicts..just call them (enter ridiculous comment here..
"The local officials say the new language will help change people’s views about those who commit crimes."
That will not change the way I feel about these
assholes commiting crimes etc..will definitely
Change the way I feel about these jackasses in SF
govt well nope still think they are total morons
Putting it politely..
Really how's that work??
It's still a drug addict, homeless, crap and needle filled st ****hole no matter how you brand it..
A juvenile “delinquent” will now be called a “young person with justice system involvement,” or a “young person impacted by the juvenile justice system.”
"And drug addicts or substance abusers, meanwhile, will become “a person with a history of substance use.”
Next it will be the person committing crimes just call them good guys with with an attitude...
We don’t want people to be forever labeled for the worst things that they have done. We want them ultimately to become contributing citizens, and referring to them as felons is like a scarlet letter that they can never get away from.”
Yea we won't want to hurt their feelings now...
The sanitized language, though unlikely to do much to address the crime problem, may result in some convoluted descriptions of crimes in the future.
The newspaper noted an individual whose car has been broken into could well be known to police as “a person who has come in contact with a returning resident who was involved with the justice system and who is currently under supervision with a history of substance use.”..
Hahahaha
Actually yea let's start a post/thread of list of ridiculous things to rename all the different criminals and crimes!Last edited by mrichartz; 08-22-2019 at 08:47 AM.

08-22-2019, 08:58 AM #13In Seattle, arguably the country's most liberal city, homelessness remains one of the most divisive topics. Over the past five years, the city has seen an explosion in homelessness, crime, substance abuse and addiction. Residents say they struggle to balance compassion with growing resentment.
In all, the city spends $1 billion a year fighting homelessness. That's $100,000 for every homeless man, woman and child in King County and yet the needle has mostly been moving in the wrong direction. Residents say there is a deep disconnect between them and those in charge and say elected officials are tone-deaf and offer up simple solutions to a complex problem.Last edited by David - WI; 08-22-2019 at 03:36 PM.

But seriously 100,000 for each homeless person and they say the progressive liberal govt is ineffective and they lost hope...they should be dragging all the officials out in the sts on their asses and demand an explanation where all that money goes?LETS GO BRANDON.... LETS GO BRANDON
