Mercury racing 280

I have1997 Mercury racing 260 with a 280 powerhead purchased from diamond marine with approximately 25 hours on it. I bought the complete boat and motor package from the original owner that I’ve known for over 30 years . It’s been garage kept the entire time and never been in salt water . It’s Equipped with the Brucato SVS And diamond marine light weight flywheel. The Lower unit was completely rebuilt last year the fat shaft installed it is the sport master gear case. It has the trim pump mounted inside the boat with a single ram on the engine bracket . After having this set up for four months I decided that mixing the fuel in the very long idle times that I have going through the marina to my Houseboat this just isn’t the engine for me.
