Yes I know about the DS....splines..... do you have 3.4 short housings?.....What I was going to do is use 3.0 ex housings because the 3.4 are 25 inch and I wanted 20 inch housings....I can cut the 3.0s but the 3.4 can't be cut because of the way they are cast. What boat do you plan to use?

as for a boat... I had a line on a Scarab Raider Carbon Kevlar but that’s gone. Would consider a cat or LCB. May make something aluminum like a LCB. I like the idea of a boat that has deck and cabin space - V or Cat. V for the ability to do all speeds. Cats - only go fast.

A 3.4 story for the hell of it -

When I was in the service department, we had a recall on the 3.4 flywheels, I don't remember what it was all about, but I was charged with getting the recall notice out. I got a list from sales of all the 3.4's involved in the recall, think it was a couple hundred motors. I saw that about 200 of them had gone to our distributor in the far east, Hong Kong or Singapore, somewhere out there, but like 197 of them were never registered. I contacted the distributor, they say they are sold and gone, we will probably never know where. Seems the smugglers there liked the motors, and were using them to smuggle finished gold products out of China - I was told the Chinese artisans work was much better than that of India, and one run with a twin or triple engined boat more than paid for the cost of the boat/motors!
I think that left me with like 50 motors to find in the rest of the world!

Here's a pic of the complete powerhead on my Apache Warrior 10 Meter, 25 inch mids. I also have several20" and one 30", was considering putting the 30 in the middle of the two 25". I am trying to replicate the T4 using the 2.5 small flywheel, just got the taper specs today, need to see if it'll fit. The timing advance is disabled on the T4, does use the Bosch style fuel rail. Parts seems to be same as 3.4 Cosworth. Would like to know the secret to the illusive 450hp!Click image for larger version.
