2012 XS300 Trim Gauge not reading.

Why would a Livorsi Trim gauge not read when all the others do?
    Water Temp.
    Water Press.
    Volts.
    Tach.

I read that the PCM reads out digital not analog, Is the trim the only digital read?
The previous owner replaced the sender which is a 3 wire unit thinking that may be the problem. The gauge being a 2 wire, sender and ground.
What do I need to do?
    Thanks, Steve.

I am not familiar with your particular system, but every time the trim gauge was not working, it was the sending unit causing the issue.
Can check at the gauge if there is voltage being sent. If not, then it is the sender.

Assuming your sender uses ground for signal, here is the list.

--Positive voltage at gauge. If no positive voltage, why? Blown fuse? Bad wire? Bad connection?

--Negative voltage from sender to actuate gauge? If no, why not? Bad wire in between? Bad sender? Bad negative connection to sender. And if there is negative voltage at gauge, does it vary with trim position of motor?

--If all these check out and there is both positive and negative at gauge, then bad gauge.

Is there a 2 wire trim sender available for the 300XS with offshore mid?

I have never seen one of the "puck style" senders work accurately for any length of time. If you are depending on it for a neutral position reference at speed, then go to a Stainless marine indicator.

This is true. I just want to get the gauge working. Cannot seem to find a 2 wire sender for the offshore bracket, only 3 ram style.

You could get an AGI to convert to analog

Spoke to Mercury Customer service and they stated that if the other gauges are working I already have the correct wire harness installed and need to look at the wiring to the gauge or a gauge fault.
