you have a idle jet and a off idle jet , then you have fuel screws in leans out richens. Set at 1 1/2 out caps on then you can go to 1 1/4 or 1 3/4 will give you what you need for changes in elevation according to merc chart

I did not remove welch plugs and air trim screws due to lack of knowledge. I only removed 9 stationary jets and 2 idle adjustable needle springs. After reviewing the manual again I see they say 1 1/2 turns out for idle mixture not 1 1/4 then place plastic cap as you state. So I will have to pop the caps and redo them to 1 1/2 out. It sure did run smooth at 1 1/4.

So when I have both engines completed what is the final adjustment procedure for the 2 idle adjustable needle springs on each carb? Do they need fine tuned? Thanks for your help

So I found out the port motor is a wmh 28 not a wmh 30. The jets are all different. Do I just install the 30 or rebuilt the 28s? I'm going to put it back together for now. Thanks

    Friendly, fast, and very reasonable.
Would use them again without hesitation, had my "stuff" to me in a couple days!
They're on eBay and have a website with their address.
I no I'm late on this thread ,but I wouldnt use glm (gud luck marine) products ever , their pistons and such never, but even as simple as fuel pump rebuild kit , gaskets melted down and flooded carbs with gasket material , within 20hrs of complete rebuild

I agree with ya for something like pistons, but have yet to see a fiber gasket melt. I have used Sierra products for years with almost zero issues, I listed glm only ' cause it was what was listed as what they have available on their website. I check fiber carb gaskets for loose crap hanging from surfaces before install, and have seen" loose crap "on oem and aftermarket alike.
Sorry to hear you had bad luck with them. Thanks for the heads up!
Wonder if anyone else has experienced problems similar to yours?

It appears the bowls are all the same part number but the top half is different from the 30
    28
    #1 carb 818650A16
    #2 carb and #3 818650A17

    30
    #1 carb 818650A28
    #2 carb and #3 818650A29

    So I'm guessing I cant place 28 jets in a 30 carb

Well I ordered parts to rebuild the 28 carbs since the part #s are different for the carbs themselves vs the 30s.
