Mercury 135 blk max WMH carb cleaning

    Hello
I want to clean carbs. My question is do I buy the full repair kit or just gasket, needle and float. This will be my first carb cleaning. I have twins so I have six to get done. Thank you

Well I bought the gasket kit8107492, the float 810738 and the valve seal kit 811690

My question is can I use the old bowl needle clip since it did not come with the 811690 kit?
Why would the sell a kit that has the seat, the gasket and the needle but no clip??? Unbelievable...
I cannot even find it on mercurys website catalog. Thanks for any insight. Guess Im not going to the lake

tha "old" clip should be fine long as ya don't bend it outta shape some how.... don't remember ever seein' a new one included or separate anywhere..

normally a can of brake-kleen, hot soapy water, "all new" gaskets and a compressor is all that's needed....

I went ahead and used the old ones. Could not find them anywhere on the south shore of lake erie
Rebuild went well. Soaked bodies and parts in a gallon of carb medic then dawn and hot water and then warm water. Installed this morning and it runs smooth and responsive. Got her up to 48 mph. Going to do the other 3 carbs this week for the other motor. Thanks for your replies.

They are wmh 30. Merc manual shows them for 135. Double checked jet numbers also. I would not not the difference between a big bore or small. Lol

    Wulffe Marine, Mentor, Ohio.
On the south shore of Lake Erie.
    Glm, sierra, cdi electronics.
I used them for my carb kits and fuel pump kit for my older 175 merc.
    Friendly, fast, and very reasonable.
Would use them again without hesitation, had my "stuff" to me in a couple days!
They're on eBay and have a website with their address.

Thanks for the info. Turns out you can only get the needle clip if you purchase the master repair clip and its 90 to 100 bucks. I'm speaking of mercury parts only. I stay clear of after market parts.

I thought those were for the idle circuit mix only. I set mine 1 1/4 turns out from close and then placed plastic cap on.
