ANY suggestions for a 2014 mercury pro xs 250 running a 1.75 sport master case on an eliminator scorpion. I know about the ecu, exhaust tuner, lightweight flywheel am I missing anything? I get 85 with a 15x30 performer bc4 4 blade prop

If you need more hp just sell the 250 and get a 300. Little to no gain for the $ you will spend.

Selling isn't really an option I just bought it 3weeks ago. Supposedly the new outboard 5 blade cleaver can gain 10 to 12 mph according to mercury, and I'm betting if I just lowered my fuel load and lightened the boat some I can get into the 90s as is. Is the magnum tuning bolt on sensor tricker alright or should I send the ecu in for a reflash, they both claim 15 to 20 percent hp gain but about a 400 dollar difference

Prop work I agree with...but most of the people that have done upgrades to the 300xs benefit mostly from the higher rev limit. Ecu's from the verado work because they increase boost from the supercharger so you will see noticeable gains...With the 2 strokes, I wasnt spending the money.

DBR has stage kits. Remapped and parts.
Main issue with opti is the inability to bump compression up and have them run.

I went for a spin today, as is I added 200 lbs and lost 12 mph I can lose that 200 and another 200 and if I gain 8 mph over the normal 86 I'm happy. The ecu will still add 20hp, probably 3mph. I just wish I could lose the extra 125 lbs the 250 pro weighs over the old 2.5. This boat originally had the 300x but I didn't get a chance to buy it.

The Scorpion is a great boat but to make these go fast with an outboard, you have to fix what works AGAINST having an outboard. These boats were all designed as squirt boats with a Big Block putting 750# a foot or so ahead of the transom and the center pod has quite a hook to support this design to load the pump. If you de-rig the boat so you can flip it, and measure three feet from the trailing edge of the center sponson, start with the 2" step and cut it out. Flatten the center pod and remove the hook... then re-rig and enjoy the zero trim flight that will let your boat fly as it should with an outboard.
