Actuator replacement help
Hey can i just tighten up the side bolts on my Hydraulic jack plate enough to drive out the pins and not have the motor slam to the floor ?

I only suspect your servicing the lift and I would at least ensure that you place blocks of wood under the skeg minimum to act as a secondary safety to ensure that doesn' happen or at least use a small engine lift with an eye as well . I hope this helps . Safety and not wrecking something is key to improvements .

That's what I did when I had to pull the lift cylinder. I put blocks and lowered it until the skeg was on the blocks...then my grandson (2) turned the steering wheel and a blocks came out. Didn't hurt anything because it only dropped down the the next block, 1 1/2".
