Trying to thin the fleet!

Hull is in the same condition cosmetically, I did clean up the wiring some. It has Super Ride Guide steering (dual cable), 10" jack plate is still installed.

I built a motor for the boat, here are the specs:

1997 175 EFI 2.5 block
chest ported
front shaved .040
heads shaved .040
fresh hone on block
oil injection cavity filled with marine tex
stock pistons and rods
new rings
metal caged rod bearings
260 small bearing top cap
260 small bearing non oiler crank
new main bearings
260 exhaust divider
2.4 200 intake
WH-22 carbs
16 amp charging
all electrics/wiring are 1997 or newer
custom brackets to mount clamshell cowl
modified XR2 vented cowls
NOS 2.4 200 plastic latch
new Garzon Studios 2.4 200 brown stripe decals
2.5 2 piece plate
2.4 200 bell tuner
drilled bass can, no liner
late model 3 ram clamp with fat tiller
late model trim harness and relays inside cowl
2.4 200 lower unit

I just have too much stuff. I'm building a couple 2.0's and I'll slap one on the Varmint. May also go ahead and cut out the back deck and paint it. Thinking about hydraulic steering offset in the console with an allison bucket and side slide...

I have the two Allisons also. May rig the XST, maybe not. May sell it. Need to sell the XB02 also...

I need to get down to one boat, hoping to free up the shop so I can build a hot rod!

Have to find a windshield used. Hard to find for the early "flat dash" cap. Verado used the same shield i think

I think Taylor did the original for Hydrostream, Checkmate, etc? I had a replacement made in black for my Checkmate many years ago; but I had to get it through a boat / fiberglass repair shop. http://www.taylormarine.com/windshields.html

Taylor did make the windshields but they no longer have the patterns. It might be possible to have them make a replacement. They do have a "custom" division that can make discontinued products, I have spoken to them before. I am not interested in pursuing a replacement windshield at this time. I think the boat looks fine without it and the wind doesn't bother me at all...

I'm building another 1750 for my Varmint. Still on the fence about cutting the back deck out. I think I'm gonna throw some paint and carpet at it too. Going to ditch the hydraulic plate and get the pump out of the boat too I think...
