Water flow is lot different in lake and bucket , I can tell big diff in my water flow between the 2. With that said yes need do pump kit just because reg maintenance, but buzzer needs b tested if there , if its workin correct then his only prob is prob faulty guage , this isnt that hard of a issue even for newbie , tlwj has laid it out very simple to test , just take it step by step, do u have a pressure guage? I member it being asked but didnt recall a answer

Yeah man I was gonna do the impeller for sure. Never a bad thing to do the whole pump. I must have missed the pressure gauge question I’m sorry. Um to be honest I’m not 100% sure. Just got the boat and haven’t really paid attention. If it doesn’t have one then I’m gonna get one. Very important. I’m just scared to do the buzzer in fear of messing somethin up. Cough cough last time I tried to do electrical stuff haha.

So not to be smart or anything but don't ever put that motor in a bucket and try and start it , you have to have the water pump under water or it will never be able to suck the water through large cavities to the little water pump. And your video the water pump is about 6 to 8 in above the water line in the bucket. If the water pump was okay before it's definitely burn up now , so either by the proper flusher to hook up to the motor or take it to the lake to run it . And if you can't figure out how to ground the wire going to the temperature sensor to check the buzzer you definitely don't want to attempt a water pump job. So please take the motor to somebody that knows how to work on outboards and have them do a compression check water pump and check the buzzer not very costly. And PS it takes about five seconds to check a buzzer and 45 minutes to do a water pump

Think it’s possible that someone installed t stats and that’s why it wasn’t peeing like it should? Just brainstorming.

I’ve seen people start them In buckets/tubs all the time and I’ve never seen anyone have a problem with them

When I say “haha” it’s usually because I’m laughing at my own stupidity. I appreciate everyone trying to help but I’m just scared I’m gonna mess somethin up and not be able to fix it. Been trying to find a good place to take it to but there’s a lot of crappy mechanics around here. Don’t want something like that going to someone that’s gonna jerk me around sayin this n that. Need a good dude that’s built/worked on a bunch of these. Ya see I was gonna do that buzzer yesterday but I kept reading that over n over but I still didn’t understand. I’m not good at reading stuff and understanding. I’m more of a watch someone do it and I can do it just fine kinda person. But that’s just me. I’m sorry

Sensor test is very easy as Tommy said. Looking at picture of your motor, sensor is held in head by 2 bolts. follow the sensor wire until you find a connection point, disconnect it, turn key on and ground the harness side of the wire. You should hear the buzzer, which should be inside of your remote. You aren't at risk of getting shocked or hurting anything.

Just need to take it and get a “check up” basically. Gonna get the water pump changed also since there’s no tellin when it’s been changed last and I’ll be on my way! Thank you everyone for helping!!! Hopefully no issues come up soon
