What's the dumbest thing you've done lately?

Took out the "Death Wish" this afternoon for a little test run with a 24 chopper...

    That's me in front!

    It's a 14' semi-v with a 75 OMC, 4" jack plate for some
height, jerry rigged tiller handle, and now a 24 chopper prop...

Did a best of 43mph GPS with plenty more throttle left. The lake was really rough and 43 was all we could get coming out of the cove!

We really need to find a stinger mid and a more appropriate (read longer) tiller handle!

I'm getting too old for this kind of punishment, future trips should be on the river instead.

    Fun out!!!

That has to be one hell of a jon boat to carry that motor that well. We tried it years ago with a 65 Merc and darn near sunk the boat. Water was within an inch of the top of the transom. Once started it took off like a rocket and scared the crap out of me. The bad thing was when I realized shutting it down was going to be an issue. Made it across river and back without incident and removed motor.

Don't have a photo but a couple days ago I pressure washed a roof in a thunderstorm with Lightning all around me. Pretty f&%king dumb is an understatement.

I have this old sportster that I do not ride often enough, but when I do, I ride it hard. So, last time I had it out it was warm and humid. Bike warmed up, stopped at a light, first in line and when it turns green I twist it on. The intersection I was at, the crossroad I was on was a different level, lower so when going over the crossroad the bike has a roller coaster effect where the bike dropped out from underneath me. With the humid air my grips were wet and I almost went right off the back of the bike, barely managed to hang on. Big smile on my face, but will NOT be doing that again. Good times, good times.

Actually the old school sand/crete cast tiles are gone and replaced with clay glazed tiles. Very strong and don't crack and break like the old ones did Oh and by the way I've lost the extra weight. Holding steady at 205 from the mid 260's I was

Most people that get hit by Lighting and live have health problems the rest of their lives.

I told my wife if I ever end up in a bed screwed up, I want to OD, both my parents ended up in a bed for years, Mother had a feeding

tube stuck in her gut, that is NOT going to happen to me.

Dumbest thing award goes to me....rope swing island on the caloosahatchee with a bunch of buddies swinging out of the tree roughly 20 ft up...no problem until I came up with my foot hanging sideways. FF to now, 7 screws and a plate on the outside of the ankle and 2 screws inside. At 38 I'm too old for this crap

They had a young lady on the news the other night that was hit by lightning last year at a music festival. She was still messed up, like could not walk right, loss of hearing and balance, headaches etc etc. She was not in that bad of shape when compared to what she looked like days after she was hit. Of course the news piece was centered on her going back to the same music festival this year. And there was big storms in that area that night.

Water is only about an inch above the transom on this one. My buddy in back probably only weighs 130 lbs. It also has a bilge pump rigged to handle the water intake. It's pretty sketchy and about the only thing it does well is shut down! Surprisingly it doesn't take on too much water when you kill it.

Motor is an old electric shift power head we put together on a later manual shift leg. We added later 75 carbs, Chris Carson reeds, and a tiller off a later 25 horse. Definitely needs a bigger tiller and a 15" mid. It's jacked up as high as we can get it on a 4" Vance plate. A better boat would probably help too!

Mr Fun, I'll be in touch with you about the 15" mid!
