    1977 Johnson 175TL77S pisser

Hey guys I have this 88 Hydrostream Valero with a Johnson 175TL77S and this motor doesn’t have a water pisser or a pressure gauge. Where would I tap into it to get a pisser and pressure? All my other outboards had a hose on the heads but this has those 2 piece water jacketed heads on it and no hoses off the thermostats. This thing is way before my time on God’s green earth so any help is appreciated. Thanks

i usually tap right thru the top of the block into the water jacket..gives you a pressure port and keeps any air bubbles out of the block

Later models were taped 1/8 pipe in the raised area at the bottom of the exhaust cover on the back of the block,,
