Rigging a 1998 promax for an Allison SS
What does it take to rig a 1998 promax 225 on an Allison SS? It seems easy but there is quite a few wires that run between the motor and the current boat its on.

Maybe early vs late wiring connector? Late model engines use a 14 pin harness, older stuff was 8 pin. There is an adapter harness available (84-896542T01). It has a plug on the boat side that will connect to the existing boat harness and a pigtail with bullet connectors for you to add the additional wires.

To best be able to help you need to post a pictures(s) or what color wires you need to know about.
The motor will have an 8pin harness what does the boat key harness look like?
