2.5 crank big vs small bearing

How hard is it to fit a 2.5” non-oiler 1.5” top journal crank into a later model 280 block? Do you just use the smaller 1.5” bearing and the matching top cap in the newer block? Or is it much better to stick with a big bearing crank?

the question is why put a small bearing crank in a 280 block you can use a small bearing crank in a big bearing motor just got to put a collar on it but I would not be comfortable with a small bearing crank

pretty pricey, it only adapts crankshaft with 1.5" upper journal to big bearing block
