    Vamp and Ventura deck swap

Broke the transom this weekend on my much loved 82 Hydrostream Vamp that I've owned since new. I'm in northwestern NJ, and would like to get the transom rebuilt, but I think there may be a better way. There's an 84 Ventura II for sale. I think the hull is identical to my Vamp, and if it is, I'd buy that and swap my Vamp deck onto the Ventura hull. Does anybody know whether they are identical or whether a swap like that is feasible? There are no Vamps for sale.

either way glassing will be required, the cap will need to be cut off of both boats near the transom and glued and glassed back together, prob cheaper to just fix yours and go all composite.

    Vamp transom

Here's some pics. Would really like to redo the transom myself, but can't work with fiberglas. And here in Northern NJ, I need to find a talented amateur to do it because the pros are really expensive. Otherwise, will probably just have to list it for sale as is.
