1996 Mercury 250 EFI with 25" shaft for sale

Up for sale is my 1996 Mercury EFI 250 motor with a 25" shaft length in excellent running condition. Recently replaced in the past few weeks, alternator, belt and plugs, Last fall replaced coils and plug wires, had Brucato flow and balance injectors, new low and high pressure fuel pumps. I also had the heads cut to 300 ProMax Spec and for new style o-rings and I also have a 300 ProMax fuel and ignition ECUs that's included. But the motor runs alot better with the 250 ECUs the motor came with, not sure about there programming. I'm unsure of the total hours, but when I had the heads off last summer I saw visible cross hatch up to the tops of the cylinders and compression is between 112 and 115 with motor cold. Haven't done a leakdown yet, but can be done if needed. It's still on my boat if someone wants to water test. It pushed my heavy a** 1978 Mako 21 with a T Top to 46 mph yesterday at 5600 RPMs and a 17 pitch rev 4 prop. The lower unit was replaced last year with a like new 2005 TorqueMaster from a 2005 Optimax 250. I also noticed when I did the injectors that it has carbon fiber reeds installed. Motor is setup for premix. Asking $3800 or best offer. Shipping is available, but not included with my asking price.

Bump, got this off the boat yesterday and ready to move this thing. Here's some prices if I part it out. Make offer on complete motor or the parts listed below, you want the 300 ECUs buy the complete powerhead and flip it.

    1996 250 EFI drop on with both 300 ProMax ECUs - $2500.00
2005 Torquemaster 25" lower unit, like new condition - $1500.00
    1996 250 EFI complete midsection with trim - $400.00.

The cowls can go with the midsection or the powerhead, who never claims them first.

Tinbanger1979 do you still have the 250 complete or is the lower sold. I have a twin pair of 03 250s looking to convert to triples.
