Drove today in very mild conditions, half fuel, hardly any wind. The tips you guys gave were great. Up on plane up to 50mph, hit the he throttle and with a little S turn got past the hop without much trouble at all. Boat hooked up about 75mph all the way through to about 85mph without any issues. I didn't have the motor high up on the jack plate, nor did I use a huge amount of trim, so that was pretty close to what she had with that setup. If I had the boat trimmed out more and the engine higher I'm sure it would pass 90mph easily. I believe my setup should hit pretty close to 100mph ... What do you think JPEROG?

Had a great day out testing the Cat. Ran hard through the hop and had almost no issue with it the last couple of times out. I found the reason why I couldn't get the boat above 90mph. The hydraulic jack plate and lift motor was working, but my trim motor was weak and wouldn't hold while the boat was in motion. Hopefully a quick fix and back in the water for more testing!

Thanks! I appreciate it! Gonna add a little graphics to it to break up the orange in the future. Nothing crazy, just some style. What do you guys think?

Good looking rig BCG "silver and black accents" would tone the full orange down nicely imo. As for performance, assuming that the boat isn't heavy, you have all of the ingredients in your combination to run 100 mph. Watch your water pressure and please don't turn the boat hard without dropping the motor and keeping positive trim positions. I think you need to experiment with 15" 4 blade Blasters and some of the new 5 blade stuff will raise your efficiency numbers.

Be safe, have fun, and keep us posted-

    Joe

Thanks Joe, will do. I'll definitely experiment a lot more before I really wind her out. Cheers

Also, the graphics were exactly where I was going with the idea, black with some silver to offset the orange. That won't happen until it's close to putting the boat away for the year I'm thinking, but I'll post some pictures when it gets done. I have a 4 blade on it now, I was thinking of looking for a nice 5 blade to see what the difference would be. I'll do a bit of digging and see what I come up with. And thanks for the tips again Joe, always appreciated!
