Black and silver would be great, I would keep it simple. But I also love it how it is...

I agree, just something simple to break up all the orange. It's cool as it sits, but a little style never hurt

As for performance, assuming that the boat isn't heavy, you have all of the ingredients in your combination to run 100 mph. Watch your water pressure and please don't turn the boat hard without dropping the motor and keeping positive trim positions. I think you need to experiment with 15" 4 blade Blasters and some of the new 5 blade stuff will raise your efficiency numbers.

Take joe words of caution for the truth. Having owned a 21 skater and letting my buddy drive it and spinning it out at 70 mph. Don’t chop the throttle in a turn bow will drop. There great boats fun fast and ride like a 5ft bigger boa. All orange boat looks great and good luck.

Any huge differences between how the splashes ride and handle? I have a lightning that am redoing but have never had her in the water. What I have noticed is that the bottom is different from the skater, trick & xtreme. I have heard some people complain about the lightning boats but mine is built like a tank and is better than the xtremes and tricks that I have seen. Any comparisons between the 4 or are they about the same?

They have few lightning don here and they don’t run much not sure how they drive but twins is a different animal from the single engine boats I know they all have similar characteristics and I’ve seen a potato chip xterm and a heavy one too just depends on how you like them either a little fat or skinny lol

if you run solo the hop will be a lot less, with 2 people it will hop from about 55 to 70 ish,if its a bit ruff it will help to hop less..

Hey Ed, congrats on the boat! I don't have my 21 extreme anymore, like most performance boat guys I've moved on to a different boat, or two lol If you look back at the beginning of this thread there is some great info from some very experienced performance cat owners who talk about set up and the way the boat handles. I took their words and tested them in the water and had great success. I'd search some of the threads they have posted on and read up as much as you can, then slowly put to practice what has been suggested. With some seat time you will become more confident in your ability as well as the handling of the boat and you can experiment more from there. In my experience, once I figured out the boat with their suggestions, I had a great time with it. The hop became minimal and pushing past it was very easy. As for 1-2 foot wake, the boat handles it with ease imo. My lake gets wake into the 3 foot range often and I had a lot of fun playing in it.

Good luck with the boat and share pics when you can, everyone here loves some great fast boat shots! Cheers

The build quality of my boat was very good. I had some paint fading when I bought it which buffed out to a nice shine. No stress crack in the transom, maybe a small amount of crazing near the dash edges, but not much. With 2 people in the boat full of fuel I could cruise around
40 without any hop. But I rarely cruised there, it handled way better at the 70ish mph cruising speed. It would smooth out and ride on top of any small wake with ease. Hope that help. 👍
