Then after work I put these super duper light weight heads on. That's why we removed all that material right @Chaz ? Weight savings....

Small smear of ultra grey. 10lbs, 20 lbs, then 90* with the final torque ending right at 29 on all 40 bolts. If tomorrow goes as planned and I get a lunch break again I'll toss the reed plate and intake on.

Yes , cutting the tuner short , even and clearing out all the casting *&^%&^*$^#% out of the runners is the way to go. Best part about it is , if you own a motor , you already got the part. Also leave the back cats eye things long , thats the bypass water exit .. Best to give it a head start ..

Well Bobby, you got yourself a good sealed up piece. Feed it 91-93 like you would an "X" and it will live a long time ...

Bobby, I was just going to stay quiet but I just have to ask. Did you score and are you going to use the piece you were after in the classifieds for this build about a week ago?.

No I decided to go with one of Chazs setups. And dont be quiet. Ask your questions, the guys here will be happy to help. I dont mind my thread getting filled up with questions and tech. Its why we are here and why I posted this, I could easily keep all this just in my texts between chaz and I but I want to maybe help some others.

Well almost everything gets shared. Lol

He's right .. some of the texts are not fit for public consumption ..
But it does go ta show ya about the open and honest sharing of technical info available ..

About your question above .. here's the best I remember it

I'm building a early 3.1L, behind the liner, billet head, downdraft~ outside injector piece for Mr. "B". ( no relation to Bobby )

Mr."D" called and wanted to buy the C-10 heads off of Mr. B's motor. Mr."B" set a price and Mr. "D" called back and forth a few times between working out of town and setting up a pay-pal account. But without a deposit, I sold them to Mr."W" when he called and I had exactly the set he was looking for.
Mr. "D" called back and said he was ready. I told those heads were long gone. However "Bobby" had a set of heads that they worked out a deal, and they arrived here Friday in the same box that I sent his back to him in .. less Fla oranges
And they will go to Mr."D" in the same box ..
A couple~few weeks ago Mr."W"called and asked: how do i get this mad intake to idle. I told him, when you figure it out, let me know. Until then the 12 of them out there will float around from hand to hand until like with him, it gets put on the market. Which reminds me .. i need to get him some pics on one on an early model. Mr.W , kind sir, Mr."B"s billet stuff is down at the anodizer , the acid water here will eat it up if it's not dipped .. so pics coming when I get the parts back.
    I think that's everything .. no wait .. It's my day off , tomorrow too ..
Bobby, I gotz a guy who wants a early flywheel. I won't ask ya if ya got one till Monday .. that adorable baby girl of yours deserves to be spoiled rotten ..

The good news is ... they go quite nicely with the new tattoo ...
