I'd like to know more about that rubber flap in back, and the little extender blades on the sides - What's the purpose of them? what did the boat run like without them? More details on how it's attached?? Thank you!

Rubber flap is to pack the tunnel help accelerate. The tunnel on those boats is really big for how small the boat is. There really cool boats

He wanted something that will handle bigger chop then what the STV did so this will be his new hot rod and I think he will end up with a new LCB for a daily play boat (I hope he puts a 450 on the LCB).

It helps it hold air like Ryan said. There isn't a lot of compression on these hulls "they are made to run at speed". The add ons are thru bolted.

What’s the plan to deal with the bass mid? Bungee cords? I wanted to get a 300r but was afraid of the bass mid

If it trails out, he will have a problem. I wouldn't run a bass mid on anything fast but its not my deal, I am just giving him some guidance based on mistakes that I have made and or witnessed in the past If you have to chop the throttle and drag a 15" 4 blade prop on a non ratcheting case, it has a ton of negative load being applied and they do trail out. Bungees won't prevent it but they do keep preload on the clamp so that things aren't able to prematurely wear as easily with slop and play.

That bass mid over 100 on that deep and wide tunnel is deadly if it hits a stitch of sloppy water

What's the status on your LCB Joe?? A 450 on one of ours would be awesome! Twin 300Rs would be cheaper and more stable though I think.
