1998 Mercury 225 promax
Mercury 2.5 promax motor. This is a stock motor and has not been rebuilt. The oil tank has been removed. All updates were performed on it. The power head was replaced by Mercury around 1999-2000. It has the sportsmaster lower unit. Motor was removed from hull March 2019, when hull was sold. Included with motor is 5 gallons of premium plus 2-stroke oil, spare stainless prop, the controls (no steering components), a hub kit, and the motor flush adapter.
I live in SE Louisiana. Asking $6000.00

It was on a rocket. I sold the hull to a friend of mine who did not need the motor.

The lower unit is a sportsmaster. I didn’t realize that there are different mid sections available unless, are you wanting to know the length?

My guess he is asking if it’s a stock setup, straight leg with 3ram saddle or if it has been swapped to a single ram saddle and O/S can etc.
Mentioning length 15, 20” will also help you.
GLWS either way sounds like a nice motor for good price.

The mid section is 20”. As far as I know, it is stock. I’m not the original owner, I bought the boat from a friend.

I was trying to add pics to the post, but I’m technically challenged and haven’t been able to post the pics. I have around ten pictures all sides with and without engine cover. Also a video of motor running when it was on the boat. How would you like for me to send them to you.
