Deck Paint or Coating (What to use)
Over the next 3 weeks I plan on pulling the carpet On my XB21 Allison. What is the best paint or product to use on the floor that will leave a textured non-slip floor.
Most of the deck lids are powder coated Aluminum so gel is out.
I would like to do multiple colors if possible (yellow, black).
I would prefer a roller application (I’m not much with a sprayer), but could pull some help in if spraying is just the best way to go.
Finally, I may go Seadek if I don’t like fishing on the harder floor, so that may play into the right choice as well as I would have to floor that would allow adherence of seadek. It would be next year before I do Seadek, so before I do Seadek I need to make the floor a uniform color anyway.
Plus I like the looks of a boat with no flooring.
In addition, I know the deck lids will need a little cleanup to get the gaps uniform and looking good. So I need to apply a base coat of some product anyway to cover up all the body work.
Thanks in advance.

I completely missed all these messages. Sorry for the delay.
Sorry Tony. I was a little on nerve with all the fire and law enforcement at the ramp when I pulled up. I would have been more social in different circumstances. I get so nervous on the river and I'm sick of having people call me in or having my trailer vandalized in the parking lot because someone on the river doesn't like my boat.
I had a guy in a pontoon pull a Maverick and repeatedly buzz the tower (my boat) while fishing last year with my kid in the boat. I don't know what his deal was. We just left the area.
I did meet a cool cop one morning who said the guy that calls in calls in on everyone. So it isn't just me he hates he has an issue with wakeboard boats as well. If you know who the guy is PM me and I will avoid his place. The new motor is quieter than the opti (how loud can a stock opti be....), so maybe he doesn't notice me anymore.Allison XB21 2+2

Good to meet you as well. Cool ride. After the race I saw you making some longer passes and it looked cool aired out.
I'm a Seadek fan. It just isn't in the cards this year. Motor and new props/parts to support it is going to drain me. I'm just done with carpet. It needs to go and I need a solution that covers it for now. Plus the deck needs to be covered before seadek anyway. I have that 2003 saved in my photos as an example of what I want to do. It looks great.Allison XB21 2+2

No worries, I completely understand. If it makes you feel any better, he calls and complains about us(FD) doing water rescue training in the river near his house. Even though we do that drill every other year. I honestly don't know what house it is. But I've been told he lives on the Champlin side.
