Can you tell what year range this outboard is just by looking at it? Any help is appreciated.

Look on the block by the timing arm, there is usely a date stamp

83 -85 2.4 200 , with a screwed up mid , mite see cracks by 4 big holes drilled , very weak spot there now
O and talon rite. look behind throttle arm , will have build date runnin vertical where blocks meet , should b serial on Welch plug in between heads top of block
Someone has jacked with cooling system to ,unless it has dry stacked 2 piece plates
