It's amazing how strong and sensitive the bracket is. Rated for up to 750HP. Just the lightest bump picks up speed alot. I've noticed with these bigger sportmasters that just an extra 1/8" can run you out of water pressure. I have also seen that when running into a 1ft chop I can have 30 lbs pressure, but just turning around and running with the chop, the pressure can drop to 5 lbs. It must be the fact that the water pickups are so much further back on the new cases. That's when the Porta bracket is worth what it cost! You get what you pay for!

Love this butt pic! I notice that you're not running trim tabs on this one. Pros and cons of trim tabs on these 21/22's? Also, can you post pics of the high flow cowl you're running?

No cons on the tabs. They are on there for any porpoise than sometimes occurs in calm water. The 450 accelerates so fast though that zone, that I thought I'd try without them. The 300R accelerates through it too. Usually 62-75 mph. Here's the ram air cowl in primer. We should have them available soon.

Thanks for the tips on the tabs!

Good looking cowl! Any plans for testing one on a 300R to see if it offers any benefit there?

You running G3 and monitoring demand and demand linear while prop testing? The computer will start pulling throttle at max rated RPM to keep the motor from getting to the rev limiter kick in point. You never even notice or feel it.

Will these cowls help a 300R also or only the 450 bc of the SC? Have you tried one on a 300R?
