Dfi oil coming out of exhaust onto cavitation plate
Optimax 250xs 0t81836. I just changed the air compressor, the tracker valve along with the air and fuel diaphrams. Also had the air and fuel injectors all cleaned and checked after a blown compressor. Now after running on the hose im getting what appears to be fresh dfi oil coming out the port exhaust port onto the cavitation plate. Seems to be a couple ounces each time. Ive been trying to pinpoint an oil leak that pools at the bottom of the pan but oil coming from the exhaust port is completely new

Most likely the oil pump. Check the bottom of the pump for oil. Mercury says that the pump is not serviceable, but you can replace the O ring and everything is good. Try searching for this on this site. There is a link to the Bass Boat site there with detailed discussion. I had both pumps start leaking within a week of each other on my 300XS's.

Yeah i saw a couple threads about the oil pump fix. When i originally changed the compressor i primed the oil pump with the scanner but didnt end up running the motor until a week and a half later. I just ran it on the hose and no oil leak. Im thinking the oil is just the unused oil from before

Could also be the lower crankcase seal....Looks darker than clean oil from the pump.

Lower crank seal is no big deal. Worst part is pulling and replacing power head. I seem to get some seal leakage everytime I prime the pumps. It puts a lot of oil in the lower crankcase.

When you prime you also dump a lot out the bleeds, and the compressor drains go straight to the cylinders if the pistons up you will prime out 3-4 table spoons just through the compressor dump lines. Makes a oily mess all through break in
