Jackplate size for 21 Action Marine Center Console

Boat in shop having stringers, tank and transom replaced. Looking to replace my 4 inch hydraulic Jackplate with a 8 or 10 inch Seastar Gen II hydraulic plate. Any suggestions. Power will probably start out with a 20 inch 2.4 200 and then a Optimax 225 or 250. Either 20 inch or 25 inch.
    Thanks in advance.

suggestions for what? I would stick with a plate of your choice, that is as short as possible, on that hull. that's just me.

Looking suggestions in set back distance. Had a 24 inch setback on my Paramount 21. Have heard 8 and 10 for this hull. Trying to get as much info as possible.

as short as possible. boat needs no help, like a paramount needs. it runs best with nothing. not to mention, the farther you go back on that boat, its doesn't help you at static & in a following sea with a wetter engine. 20'' motor you will always be on the up button to prevent this. but performance wise, that hull needs no setback, or as little as possible. just my .02

I know that Mike had a 10 on his Action 21 that was running 90. Not sure about the following seas. I’m probably going with a 25 inch mid. What I was running previously.
