Fun project at the shop. 1960s 25 bertram

Customer brought this beauty in to have us remove the 454 and stern drive amd bring it into the 21st century with some supercharged 4 stroke power.

We filled the transom, added an aux tank, Armstrong bracket, 350 Verado and snartcraft gauges. The "shrimp" motor really looks good in the hull. The curves play well with each other.

    Been a fun project
Should get it wet this week.

I re-furbed one of those a long time ago. Darn hull was 3/4'' solid glass where I was installing a transducer.

Buddy had one with twin Mercruiser io sixes. Great big water boat. It was repowered with a single 454 later on.

Curious to hear the performance results and how low it needs to be propped-please let us know.
Those are a strong heavy rig and it shows with the fact that its getting another power load at over 50 years of age.

What size Verado's are going on it? The work looks great. Are you using the original tank and the added tank?

Single 350. The original tank was replaced a few years ago and we've added an aux tank where the old motor was for some added range

It should move nicely. I'm thinking a 15 pitch, 15 diameter prop when loaded should push it good.

Well did the sea trial today.....

50.1 mph at 6400 with two full tanks and a 16p enertia prop.

It may have more in it with a bigger prop but this guy will have it loaded down will 7 or 8 people regularly.
