That 150 merc is an awesome motor, I thought about one for my L&B hull, there are some good deals on used ones.

This etec is intriguing, I wonder what the RAVE could do for other models, wonder if it'll give any issues

115 triple, 150 triple. Able to have higher ex ports without loss of bottom end by using a valve which maintains an ideal amount of duration based on running rpm. Drops the port roof at low rpm to maintain desired optimum port to port blowdown pulse arrival delay, then raises it to achieve high rpm power. Overall duration at high rpm can be raised without detrimental effects to the rpm climb under load from low rpm because of the change in duration effect.

The 3 cyl 150 replaces the regular 2.6 etec V6 150 and the V6 2.7L 150 and 150 HO remain, making 3 different 150s. I could be wrong on that. The claim is it will be the lightest 150 in class by over 50 Lbs, which puts it around 390. Gear ratio for the 115, 140 and 150 is 2.08, from what I hear. Keep in mind, the 3 cyl has the iSteer optional, which greatly affects weight.

Standard color is black, with red swoosh. The new white motors come standard with silver swoosh. Custom panels extra. All the G2's now come in that white exoskeleton color and revised panels.

The 150 curve is likely higher still at the low end and where the 115 flattens the 150 maintains the climb.

What would be fun is to really see what they could get from it. No EPA regulations, just limited by premium pump gas and still maintain a useful low rpm range power. Higher duration still, more compression, more ign , more fuel. I bet close to 190 at the crank! Even at 150 prop , she's detuned reliable.

Ya, in that chart, the Merc would be able to rev higher to 6300, rev limiter might be 6400?, and might make more power up there.

Been there with that proxs115 , doesn't do anything at 6200 it isn't doing at 6000 except bounce the alarm. I'm sure the 'Rude was tuned for the lead and win on the same hull, I mean wouldn't you!
    Wow,
    Long stroke, Bore x Stroke - in (mm) 3.85 x 3.25 (98 x 82.6)
    I figured 4.0125"x 3.0" , Doesn't need to spin the extra.

The four stroke ProXS? Should cut out around 6400. It's operating range is to 6300, usually there is 1 or 200 grace.

Yes, the PROXS with the small case. Limp biscuit, going to need a head to head to find out the Merc sucks.
Trolls wonderfully quiet can't complain except it couldn't break 34 mph with 3 people no gear and 38-39 with two people going with the 1 1/2' chop at 6300 trimming for miles to get it there, different props didn't help. Lund 18' new boat.

Would take this one without hesitation over the proXS four

Never thought I would say that the new e-rude in not uglier than the new merc. They are about equal. I thought I would get used to and start to like them. But nooooo....Just can't...

With all the back and forth it's easy to forget that someone still makes a 2 smoke.... I admire BRP for sticking with it.
