25 Motion question
I noticed when Motion copied the 24 Skater they didn’t carry over the rounded nose on the front of the tunnel.
On a Skater I’m sure this provides bow lift (like a plane wing).
Has as anyone owned both and noticed any mid to high speed difference on bow lift or more trim required on the Motion? Has anyone noticed the motions take longer to get though the hop zone ?
Both should run pretty much zero trim, right ?
thx!\\||//

I don't really think the motion had anything going for it for additional speed, I think some of the early 24 skaters were heavy and the motions may have started with a little lighter layup gIving them a touch more speed. My experience with a vacume bag epoxy 24 (1992) vs a mid 94 motion is that the skater was few mph faster with the same power and setup.

I do not recall Motion owning any APBA speed records in the Kilo's or National Championships just saying.

I have been in both as well as the Liberator which is another splash of the Skater (cockpit lengthened and moved forward), and the Predator another splash. Jay did the best copy job of the three and the boats handle very similar (build quality still proved to be inferior for all three copies) and the weight of the Predator that I worked with wasn't even in the ball park. Pete was light years ahead when he came up with that hull and they are still one of the fastest 24 cat hulls out there almost 40 years later. The Liberators are able to take advantage of the post 2.5 era motors and their additional weight due to the fact of the cockpit being moved up-https://www.screamandfly.com/showthread.php?343939-Ran-a-25-Liberator-today-with-400R-s
