I think he was asking about the Parker Enduro rules for the ski-race boats (Division III). If so, those rules are here: https://img1.wsimg.com/blobby/go/a85...=1568060585413

Well, the Parker rules for a V bottom outboard in the Ski Race class states to use the sanction's rules for that class. So I wanted to see what exactly those were.
I CAN ALWAYS MAKE ANOTHER DOLLAR, BUT I CANNOT MAKE ANOTHER DAY

If this doesn't help you can contact Ross rpmracingent@yahoo.com or 310 318-4012 to help clarify or put you in contact with someone from the
national water ski racing association.

Little 2.4 fat block with a little this and that. We'll see what James created.
Trying to run 1400lbs dry class

So what class is that at Parker?
OK I just read the rules for your 2.4 and it looks good but if I were to run that class I would have to run a drag motor at the same weight you have to run. You may have more of a chance to actually finish the race tho.Last edited by Da Bull; 09-12-2019 at 09:05 AM.

Bull, yes we will be running in the division VI which allows 2.4 unlimited porting with restrictions on compression and must be a minimum 1400lbs without driver and fuel.
Div VI also allows 2.5 unlimited porting with restrictions on compression and a minimum 1500lbs without driver and fuel.
And yes this class is required to run the prop shaft 1" below the bottom.
You may have not heard from last years race but Foster lost the back of his boat as it started to walk to the right
and he survived a nasty ejection at 95 plus mph. Unsure if it had a pencil roll ( I think its call to the center sponson).
Were trying to run upper 80's in the beginning and MAYBE low 90's if the water calms. 300 drag would be great but we cant afford that DBR 350hp monster which is probably spinning close to 8 grand for four hours. James has put a lot of work into our 2.4 to make it competitive and to remain at 1400 lbs which we feel is safer for us. Our choice.
We are going to test props that create whole boat lift and bite like a BBlaster or Eagle 4 and when your short on HP and funds its hard to spin a big wheel to achieve the big end numbers. We want to run around 6800-7000 rpms to help our motor survive.
I know you remember many start and many wont finish. Doesn't matter what you bring to race.Last edited by Baker343; 09-12-2019 at 12:52 PM.

What I had intended to do on a couple motors I have without the big bearing up top was to use an oil injection tank to feed the upper and center mains just via from pressure from the crankcase. I ran a couple half race distances here and had it mostly sorted out and it worked well. Took a little bit to get the flows restricted right to where a full tank of oil would last a fuel run. But the rules mongers came about and meh...

Baker, I fully understand the pains of low funding. Yes I heard about Fosters ride. He got lucky. Also in reading the rules I didn`t see anything that say`s you can`t run a 2.4 Bridge Port. I have a carbed one on my Riot and two more in the shop ready to go. One is crankcase injected. Some day I`ll figure out a good use for them.
Capt, That's a great idea. I can`t see where the rules makers would have a problem with that.Last edited by Da Bull; 09-13-2019 at 08:53 AM.
