I have made that drive twice and I think that is enough for my lifetime. This box is going to get checked off soon.

Yes it is. I got sent as part of a FEMA team Cali to Florida and ended up in the Keys after Irma hit.
And we stopped in Texas to help out after Harvey hit Texas. Crazy four weeks

Under lower units it says Green motor lower units must remain as delivered ? so no nose cone ? or can I use a sportmaster ? it is a option.

As for safety they should let 15in mids in

I believe the Yamaha and the sleek which has had ALOT of R&D done to it came with a higher performance LU and that's why it was chosen. You can contact Ross who promotes the Enduro and discuses the rules.
Their are several X Modvp racers on the rules committee and one who use to give Mercury hell with his OMC's

It's always easy to play Tuesday morning quarter-back and say I would have done this or I would have done that differently. I'll just say with the " open driveshaft" 2.5 cans , you have to be creative ..
They are pretty narrow-based as well. I've fixed a few offshore cans like this 15" Mariner can that the nuts got loose and broke in the water pump box area.

Racer, two questions if you wouldn't mind. The Div. II 2.0 liter rules say V-4 and inline 6 motors are called alternate motors and are exempt of the aforementioned rules. How much freedom are we talking about here? Lastly, what is the cubic inch of a 140 looper?

V4 looper available in 110 and 122 cubic inch. Must use factory lower and mid but may be modified like nose cone and shaping. Powerhead you can port, add finger ports, any cyl heads. You can even run an X manifold with 2 barrel set up. But remember it has to live for 4 hours.

Agree...getting it to be competitive and surviving are big demands.
