    Chevy stereo

does anyone know if a stereo out of a 2017 Silverado LTZ will work in my 2008 Suburban? Will all the plugs be the same? Wanting to get a navigation radio and there's one on CL for a good price. I know I will have to take it to a dealer to pair it with my truck.

Check out the links and maybe contact them. What I see it doesn't look like they are but I'd contact them, maybe there are adapter kits.

I dont swap radios anymore. None seem to work worth a damn because theres so much gack connected to the dang OEM radio nowadays. The security system and door lock/chime all somehow gobbled into the BCM. A royal pita

So true. And once you go down that road, it is never right again.

Back when i used to mess with vehicles, the guys that knew parts interchangability were the guys at the junk yards. For what that is worth to you.

OK, so I went ahead and bought the radio because the guy had a typo in his ad. The radio came out of a 2007 Chevy Silverado. It's a navigation radio part # 15940103. The radio I have in it now is not a navigation radio. I assume all I need to install this is a GPS antenna or is the one for the satellite radio the same? I will also have to take it to a dealer (or someone with a tech2 programmer) to erase the theft lock info and reboot it.

Do I need anything else for this navigation radio to work?

Ok, so now I need to get this radio unlocked, the only guy in town other than the dealer, is not open the hours I am off (no saturdays).

But, was reading around and read an article that said the navigation radio needs the Bose sound system to work. Is this true?
