I just purchased this boat a couple months ago with the intent of setting it up to race class 7. It was originally an I.O. but I had the transom filled professionally in anticipation of hanging an outboard. My plans have changed for this season and I have lost my space to work on it. My return to racing will have to wait until next season. The front deck of the boat has stress cracks in the gel coat from people walking on it. These hulls are made very light with the front deck being the weakest feature in my opinion. I have totally restored the exact same model before so I do have practical experience. In my opinion the deck should be removed, an easy job because it is not glassed to the hull just held on with screws, and fiberglass should be added to the underneath side to strengthen it. The transom would need additional reinforcement from the inside and some work may be needed on the far aft stringers. The hull itself is quite sound with one spot where it may have hit a dock that also has cracking in the gel coat. The exterior would likely need sanding and paint. All interior pieces are there and in fair condition. I would have had most/all interior re-covered. Has controls, cables, gauges etc. all in working order as told by the seller...I can't confirm. Tandem axle Springsteen trailer similar year or slightly newer is in fair to good shape with good tires. I towed it 140 miles with absolutely no issues. I have included photo's of the exterior of the boat and trailer and will post interior pictures over the weekend. This obviously could be restored as a family pleasure boat with either outboard or I.O. power. These hulls are getting more and more difficult to find. With minimal cost for supplies and some sweat equity you will have a classic rough water boat that will be worth every dime and hour you put into it. $1950
