Anyone here into blacksmithing?
Just picked up a Trenton anvil and courious if anyone has the book Anvils in America.

Wile E. Coyote says they hurt. And you can quiet them down by wrapping chains around them. That's about all I know of anvils.

Your TRenton looks to be in nice shape, good find. I would like to point out that I’ve seen a few tailgate cables break on newer trucks, it happens so often that Auto part stores carry new cables in the help section. Can’t believe how many folks put ramps on the gate to load ATV’s and such, that’s a no no.

I've snapped a couple Chevy cables... but our cars rot out from the tons & tons of salt on our roads every winter, too.

Ya we dont have those issues , I did break a cable on a small Nissan pickup, mid late 90s model. Strongest gate I ever had was 85 f150 step side. Had chains instead cables that had b hooked up everytime gate was dropped
300 straight 6 granny 4 speed 4x4. Was a great truck til burnt couple valves
