    Rear bench seat fabrication

Looking to add a bench seat to my boat to try and make the wife happy. Birdsal Marine has a nice set up for sale but will not make the seat under 14 inches in depth. I am looking to make about a 12 inch seat that flips down or can be removed when not using. Any one recommend a good shop in the Miami area to try and price this out.

    Thanks in advance
    Tom

everyone's been using pvc board for all upholstery for the last 15 plus years. available in different densities, which also denotes weight. the less dense the better. takes a staple. can be mechanically fastened. can be fastened chemically. zero rot/warp. lighter. also, its available in better & worse grade cosmetically, which can save even more money. better cosmetic grade for upholstery that exposes the board material, less cosmetic grade for work that is completely covered. I used DuoFast chisel tipped stainless staples.

We have been using it exclusively for years on our custom seats and leaning posts . Easy to work with no rot etc .
