The 40-50-60 is made in China. Under 40 is made by Tahatsu unless something has changed in the last couple years. Everything 75 and up is us made

The new Merc 4 strokes have me believing, but they are too big for the boats I like. Last year I bought a new 200XS and a 150 HO.

They are, but under strict mercury quality control. We sell ALOT of them and cant think of any issues I've seen. Damn good motors

I just stopped by a dealership to kick some tires on a Bay Reef and asked about ordering one with a 250 Pro XS. The reply was March 2020 if they were lucky. Or, I could order one with a V-Max 250 and have it in 6 weeks. Sad, very sad.
To pay $25k for a motor and then have to wait 6 months is absurd.

The formula race 60 I have is made in China, but the china part means nothing the are very good reliable engines. There's a video on YouTube of a Mercury 60 in Thailand that has over 10,000 hours on it most around 3k rpm but still that's alot.

The point that is stiff is that horsepower range could be produced by some proud and very grateful Wisconsin maniacs.

If I remember correctly the majority of the parts are still manufactured in WIsconsin (blocks, rotating assembly, casting for housings, ect.). They just dont have the assembly capabilities here because of other higher demand engines
