Yep, yota and other jap auto makers come over here take full advantage of our system and builds their junk to avoid import tariff. Everyone squawks about made in the USA. That's a load of crap they use to justify their purchase of a foreign product. I see broken and defective jap stuff all the time. They're no better than our domestic stuff.

IMO, it's about Brand/model recognition and perceived lack of quality of American cars. The Ford Fiesta, Fusion, Taurus and Focus are damn good cars but the Taurus is ugly. It is a shame about the model cancellations because all three of those models have high performance versions that kick azz.
Maybe if they copied the styling of the Camry, like you said, they would sell better.Last edited by CDave; 05-30-2019 at 10:17 PM.

The first and only new vehicle I ever bought was a Toyota. What a huge disappointment. It was a nice car but was in the shop ALL the time. Even with extended warranty it cost me out the ass. Finally in internal part came loose and was digested by the engine. This WAS a Toyota problem. The car was less than 6 mo out of warranty. They would do a damn thing. I fixed it and sold it. It made it two years and it was a yard ornament for the girl that bought it.
Never again.Last edited by Forkin' Crazy; 05-31-2019 at 12:20 PM.
