I haven't got to replace anything yet , (workin on someone else at moment ) but did take a sec to compare the 2 tygon ,and what u sent me is of course same id but has a much much thicker wall and od is alot bigger. Without trying it yet I'll go on a limb and say this stuff will actually work well , I'll take a pic of the 2 in a few min and repost ,but the stuff Jay sent me looks like reg tygon on steroids

So I was expecting a sample of Jay's tygon he uses...
I get this pretty big box for a sample of line..
He has put enuff to do a motor, then adds his oiler with fitting to prefill oil line for top bottom bearing , and instructions of what he sent attached,,,
Imo he went way beyond what he needed to just to insure everything was done correct and easiest way possible.
Oooo. I forgot the zip ties also. The man didnt leave anything out.. I was not expecting to open box and see all this

Jay Smith really goes way out of his way for his customers , just a shout out , it was well deserved. nice work jayClick image for larger version.

Wall thickness is as expected everything , unless the correct part is used one might have failures but the product I’ve used if put on a dry barb it will grab and as others have said you will have to cut it off the barb ...

    Good luck !

I also secure it to every barb with ty straps ...I use at least 1 50’ spool a month

BTW Every 2.5 V-6 High Performance Motor ever made that came from racing division came stock with the same yellow tygon I use daily ??

MY BAD I put wrong McMaster part number up the number listed is correct !!!That former number was the bigger tygon I use for water line from poppet to top of block , steel sleeved motors!!!

Anyone ever had Tygon sit on the shelf for a couple years, then find it all greasy and wet looking? Happened twice b both times it sat for a couple years in hot south Florida garage. It looks like it's degrading somehow and oily film is permeating out of it.

I have little been sitting awhile but it's in climate controlled. No issues. If it gets real old and hot and dry I can see that

Doesn't seem to get "dry" or brittle. Just a weird greasyness to it. Droplets of whatever it is can also be seen inside the tube.
This is aprox 3 year old tubing thats been in a tuperware in the back of garage.

As I stated MTBE was used as a TEL replacement , then why and when it was replaced. No need in repeating my words.
Try to buy 5 or 55 gallons of it .. let me know how that works out ..

Problems arose when Ethanol was used to replace MTBE, not before.

There's no need in dancing around all the iso,
    propanol,
    ethyl, methyl,
hydroxyl groups ... just call it wood or corn. I'll know what your tryin to say

European and Asian fuel has MTBE in it as it lowers air pollution
Its banned in OZ like USA as both countries use ground water
