There are a lot of inboards getting ready to be schooled on acceleration in our new world. If they don't have the big power then they don't stand a chance catching new outboards for the first mile. Please wear jackets when running "you might not intend to go fast, but when someone pulls up next to you all bets are off"-its how we are built.

I hope mercury puts the new Tech in the midsize outboard category. A new smaller Midsize Race motor would be awesome for those of us who cant run with the big boys.

There just isn't enough market demand unfortunately. It all went away when insurance became an issue. No insurance=no loan=way less small performance boat sales and guys were forced into center consoles and tri-toons.
