VRO replacement with traditional fuel pump, which one?

Pretty much like the title says. Search function on here did not work for me, so I will ask.

I have a 1990 2.0L v4 140 Evinrude. Some claim a single fuel pump is fine, I have seen some claim I need to put two together like on the v6. Which one do I need, anybody here know?

    Thanks!!

i've put one old style on bunches of v4 loops with no problems...438559 i think is the # for the pump with a pulse fitting...screw it to the old vro bracket ...hook the gas lines up in and out...you can hook the old pulse fitting to the new pump pulse and good to go...

BRP also sells a pump that looks like a VRO, but does not have the oil side..... a little pricey though

I've used a Mercury pulse pump that has only hose fittings. Works great.

Why not use an electric pump? Carter is very good.

Do not need to complicate what I have. A simple fuel pump will work for what I have. Thanks though!!
