Is this whare it should say ff? Mine says EE I think? I was told it was a 2.5 200 fishing motor. Also about a inch to the right of EE I think it has a date stamp of 2-18-93 on top cylinder does that sound right? Is that a year stamp or something else and what does EE mean if this is what you guys are talking about? Third pic shows a date stamp , sound right? Also I never noticed how dirty bottom of that flywheel looks, should I try and clean it or leave it alone seeing that motor is running great? Thanks guys

ee blocks are still 150 175 or 200 just indicates small exhaust chest and equals better take off on a heavier boat i have one on the bench 6 new sleeves but no exhaust relief notches like 150,175 and some 200 (not many but they made um) top end wont be much different but night and day on take off .i keep one for the guys with heavy bass or ski boats they are much happier with take off!! as for the rebuilt xri for 4000 main question what do they call a rebuild new rings and gaskets is not a rebuild!!! ive rebuilt over 400 ef'is now and none of them left without new pistons, bearings, seals, rebuilt fuel pump, poppet valve, new reeds, injectors cleaned and flowed, new switch boxs and regulators plus lower unit serviced (that with a pressure test on it not just impellor) so ask all the questions . and if i were you find the boat first then work on the motor its been my experience to buy a blown motor complete and rebuild you know what you have then

always trying and disprove everything ill have to recant one thing all 150's are not 2.0 liter u did know that right????because the one on my table is a BB block with 200 sleeves in it i know because james put them in ive had 100's of blocks changed up by him to what ever i was bright enough to think up how many u have re sleeved just the one 100mph bass boat??? matter of fact you dont know what all the mystery stuff ive ran across from mercury over the years i most likely tore down over a thousand motors maybe more
