Big difference in ports and exhaust chest. Not "easy" things to change but it can be done.

Early xr6’s had tiny carbs....I switched mine out with 200 carbs before I ever ran it, so I can’t really tell you about the difference, but it had to be somewhat substantial.

Goin with 200 carbs on a 150 is the best improvement I did on my old one , It was a seat of the pants difference with added rpm , also put short tuner in , combo worked real gud for 150

Any idea how much power increase can be gained with just switching to 200 carbs, versus the mods to the porting, versus the mods to the exhaust chest?

Oh that is interesting, thanks. The regular 150 I'm working on seems to have the big ones. Will have to check my XR4 next chance I get.
