I believe those are the body widths.

From what little I could find the rear axle width is 65.25". So that would be the rear width with wheels off. BTW the width of a vehicle with the wheels off is officially called front and rear track or F/R track width.
I would take the 65.25 and add 10" for stock size tires. That should get you with in a few inches.
EDIT: I found this info on one site.
On a 1979 F-150 4x4 with stock (L78-15) tires the track width for the front is 64.29" and the rear is 64.40". These measurements are to the center of the stock tires. The overall width is 74.14".Last edited by CDave; 05-16-2019 at 11:57 PM.

I loaded a trailer with a jeep buggy with big offset wheels that was too wide to fit. Turned the wheels around backwards where the offset was to the inside. Can't turn it much, but made it a lot narrower and allowed it to fit. Kind of a hassle, but.....

Is it a car hauler type trailer? it should fit. if it's an equipment type trailer with side rails it should also fit. The 4x4's won't fit on a trailer with side rails unless the tires are tall enough to get the front hubs above the rail...
